Chika Unigwe is an Afro-Belgian writer of Nigerian origin. She was born and raised in Enugu. Unigwe has degrees from the University of Nigeria, the K.U.Leuven, and a PhD from the University of Leiden. A recipient of a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship, a UNESCO fellowship, a HALD fellowship, she will be a fellow at the Ledig House in New York in October 2011. She has published widely in literary journals and newspapers. Unigwe is the author of fiction, poetry, articles and educational material. Her second novel, On Black Sisters???
